On behalf of The Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger Board of Directors, it is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce Laura Wall's departure as Executive Director of The Coalition effective May 31, 2019. Since 2013, Laura played a critical role in the growth and success of the organization. She will be greatly missed by the staff, Board, and partners alike.

Do you feel that?

That slight pull coming from your stomach, telling you it’s been exactly 4 hours since you’ve last eaten?

“Let’s go get lunch,” you say to your coworker, “I’m hungry.”

You leave the office, eat your lunch, finish your work day, head home, and there it is again – not a slight pull this time, but a grumble. You think to yourself, “Man, I’m starving.”

As we move in to what will surely be the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history,  we know many organizations and SNAP households are very worried about the impact of the shutdown on SNAP for February. Our main message at this point is: Don't panic, and stay tuned for additional details.
