Joint Statement on House Budget Resolution from the Coalition Against Hunger and Philabundance

Statement on The President's Budget

President Trump’s budget proposes more than $190 billion in cuts to one of the most effective poverty-reduction programs in the country, making it even more challenging for Americans facing hard times to get back on their feet. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, or food stamps) helps struggling families and workers put food on their tables. These drastic proposed cuts would hurt millions of families, especially our most vulnerable loved ones and neighbors.

Help Acme And The Eagles Kick Hunger!

The Thomas' Walk Against Hunger helped raise funds for nearly 100 food pantries and soup kitchens, but our partners Acme Markets and the Philadelphia Eagles are going the extra mile to support local food programs in our area.

Launched on Saturday at the Walk and running through May 4, the fourth annual Teaming Up to Kick Hunger campaign allows shoppers at local Acme Markets to purchase $10 bags of healthy food, which will be donated to local food pantries in each store's neighborhood!
