Case Management

The Coalition serve as an advocate for clients that are wrongfully denied SNAP benefits, clients that have difficulty obtaining benefits and elderly and disabled clients. We work with the local County Assistance Offices to ensure that SNAP applications are processed accurately and clients’ benefits are received timely. As a liaison between the Philadelphia County Assistance Offices and clients, we are able to we resolve the majority of the cases we handle each month.

SO YOU APPLIED FOR SNAP...NOW WHAT?

Once an application is submitted, it will be reviewed to determine if it is eligible for Expedited Benefits, also called Emergency Benefits. If someone is approved for Expedited Benefits, they will receive an ACCESS card within five calendar days and may begin to use their benefits at that time. For those who do not qualify for Expedited Benefits, it can take up to 30 calendar days to receive their benefits.
